Jason Martin Obituary, Death – Jason L. Martin, 49, died at Clara Barton Hospital Emergency Room in Hoisington, Kansas, on December 18, 2023. He was born October 5, 1974, in Great Bend, Kansas. Cynthia Martin and Rick Kleck are his parents. Jason graduated from Hoisington High School in 1993 as a standout football player. He received scholarships to play at Garden City Community College and Washburn University.

In Milberger, Kansas, he married Trisha L. Funk on October 4, 2008. Their children, Aubree and Ava, were blessings. Jason, a lifetime Hoisington resident, worked 22 years on the railroad. He was a bondsman and rental property manager. He attended First Christian Church. Jason loved hunting and fishing. He performed well in the Martin family’s Fourth of July parties. He loved his girls most and spent time with them.

He supported them at every occasion and challenged them to board games. His wife, Trisha Martin, of the home; two daughters, Aubree and Ava Martin; his four-legged child, Lexus; father, Rick (Cindy) Kleck of Troy, Missouri; mother, Cindy Martin of Great Bend; three brothers, Jared (Allie) Guesnier of Central, South Carolina; Brian (Carri) Kleck and Adam (Lauren) Kleck, both of Troy, Missouri; two sisters, Jill (Dan) McCreary of Troy, Missouri, and Amy (Adam) Mistler of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; grandmother.

His grandparents, Harry & Esther Martin and George Kleck, and his hunting dog, Deuce, died before him. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Rhonda Templing SAM will officiate the service at Nicholson-Ricke service Home on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Hoisington Cemetery will hold the interment. In lieu of flowers, Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544, accepts donations to the Jason L. Martin Memorial Fund.
