Jori Jones, Death –   She tragically lost her life in a car crash in Minnesota, leaving behind a priceless loss for her colleagues, family, and the hockey world. This page honors Jori Lynn Jones by remembering and honoring its brief life. Jori Lynn Jones was a standout women’s hockey player at Gustavus Adolphus College in her freshman year. She played hockey from Roseville High School to Gustavus Adolphus with passion, skill, and determination.

In the realm of women’s collegiate hockey, Jori Lynn Jones embodied passion and skill. She had an early interest in the sport and quickly rose to the top of Roseville High School’s player rankings, demonstrating both leadership and athletic ability both on and off the rink. Jori’s experience at Gustavus Adolphus College was an intriguing one. She rose to prominence quickly in women’s hockey. Coaches and players looked up to Jori because of her dedication, leadership, and love of hockey.

In addition to her sporting accomplishments, she was adored for her warmth, enthusiasm, and sincere concern. While traveling off-season with teammates from Gustavus Adolphus College, Jori tragically passed away.  Their car was involved in a two-vehicle collision close to west-central Minnesota after returning from Aberdeen, South Dakota, which devastated Jori’s career as well as that of his friends, family, and teammates.

Accidents serve as a constant reminder of how fleeting life is, particularly for young people with as much potential as Jori. Everyone who knew Jessica and watched her hockey career was grieved by her untimely demise, but it also served as a reminder of how unpredictable life can be and how important it is to cherish each moment. Jori Lynn Jones was murdered in a horrific traffic accident in Grace Township, Minnesota, close to Hwy 40 and 29. Jori and her teammates failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a southbound minivan. In spite of the efforts of emergency responders, she passed away at Montevideo Hospital.
