Ms. Reyes Rodas Obituary, Death – Sunday night’s incident on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, which is part of Interstate-580, claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman. The coroner for Marin County Sheriff’s Office identified her as Darolyn Alejandra Reyes Rodas. Rodas was a passenger in a silver Honda sedan when the driver started speeding on the bridge at 7:57 p.m. on Sunday, according to the investigators.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the driver of the Honda tried to change lanes halfway across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and collided with a white Mazda SUV that was moving more slowly. “The Honda crashed with the rear of the Mazda,” the CHP reported. The automobile flipped over many times as a result of the collisions, landing on its roof inside the road.

The deceased was discovered unconscious and lifeless inside the car after sadly suffering very severe injuries in the incident, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office. According to deputies, good samaritan drivers helped Rodas out of the damaged vehicle and performed CPR on her. She was not breathing and was unconscious.She had physiologic symptoms of death when the paramedics arrived, and the Sheriff’s Office reported that she had passed away there. The Sheriff’s Office commented,

“The family and friends of Ms. Reyes Rodas receive our deepest condolences from the staff of the Coroner Division and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.” According to the CHP, the Honda driver sustained serious injuries. A nearby hospital received the drivers of both cars. The bridge’s westbound lanes were blocked for over an hour. Authorities did not disclose whether the driver of the Honda was taken into custody.
